Lash Works by Shauna has evolved much over 10 years of her service in the beauty business. Shauna started out from just classic lash extension application in a garage as a new mother in Whislter, BC to moving to a commercial space where she quickly grew her clientele. In Whistler she grew her reputation and was soon know as,THE lash tech because of her excellent lash retentions and attention to detail. Shauna grew her skills over the years updating her education and beauty offerings to add lash lifts and tints, brow waxing, teeth whitening services, classic lash extension training and certification. Once she moved to the Comox Valley she then operated out of a med-spa where her love for skin care blossomed. She then grew her knowledge and then introduced the outstanding, results producing machine called the Aqua Hydro Facial with Oxy-jet. This machine which uses super serums for amazing results in combination with Red Blue and Green light therapy to offer variations for customized client needs.

Adds a full thicker look to natural lashes while extending length and curl.
This treatment is perfect for people who like the mascara look but don't like the messy side. I can create whatever you like from a natural lash right up to full glamour lash. I offer various lengths, curls and thickness to give each person there perfect look that match there desire as well as face and eye shape.
volume
Adds length, curl and tons of volume while maintaining a light fluffy look.
This treatment is for people wanting massive volume, or people who have very little to work with who would like volume. Volume is classicly done using a shorter lash length then classic extensions which brings out more fullness. However Volume extensions also look beautiful with more length as well.
Hybrid
Adds a more fluffy volume look to the classic lash. I add some volume lashes to the classic lash extensions to bring out some volume.
This treatment is great for people who desire full lashes but do not have a lot to work with. Also for people who like a very natural look.

Q & A
Q. What is the procedure for lash extensions?
A. On your first visit you will be asked to fill out a consultation form. Here we also keep a record which procedure and products we decide to go with as well as any notes or modifications in style we make in the future. We will also discuss what look you desire, your lifestyle, eye and face shape as well as lash health to decide on what length thickness and curl we will use. Once discussed you will lay on the heated bed, a collagen under eye pad will be applied while you relax and enjoy music or light conversation if you prefer. As the eyelash extensions are applied your lash technician will gently apply 1 lash on each of your lashes for a classic lash extension or we will create custom built fans of multiple (3D+) extra fine lashes for a more voluminous look. This is a pain free procedure when done in the correct manner. Once the procedure is complete you will look fresh and fabulous day and night!

Q. How often do I need refills?
A. Most clients return within 2-3 weeks for their lash fills however, they can last on some clients up to 4-5 weeks depending on various factors such as, application technique, your natural lash cycle, hormone use, conditions in the room when the procedure is being completed, conditions in the environment in the curing time (24 hrs), your skins natural oils, cleanliness of the eye and products used around the eyes.

Q. How do I care for my lash extensions?
A. After initial application do not get them wet for 24 hours and avoid sauna and steam rooms for the next 48 to allow the adhesive to cure properly. Avoid heavy creams and oil containing products in the eye area. Oils can break down the glue bond and cause the extensions to fall out prematurely. Do not pick and pull lashes or lash extensions, this can cause you to pull out the natural lash and can create a delay in the return of the next hair. After the curing time is completed please be sure to keep your lashes clean by rinsing them with a light oil free soap to maintain follicle health. Brush daily.

Q. Can lash extension damage my natural lashes?
A. If they are applied in a correct manor they will not damage your lashes and they can be worn indefinitely. However if they are applied incorrectly they can be very damaging. It is important for your lash technician to apply each extension to 1 natural lash not clumping the natural lashes together with excessive adhesive also to choose a lash thickness and length that can be supported by your natural lash. Home care is also very important to keep your lashes healthy.
